Tour de France 2009
Looking for the official 2009 Tour de France site? It’s here in English & ici en français.
See the Tour Live in the Alps, July 18–25. Using Lake Annecy as our base for a week, we’ll see Stage 16 (Martigny–Bourg St. Maurice), Stage 17 (Bourg St. Maurice–Le Grand Bornand) and Stage 18 (Annecy Time Trial). Geneva International Airport is conveniently only 40 minutes away.
Bookings for this tour are closed as of January 15, 2009.

Here’s how we expect the week to go, subject to local conditions (weather, road repairs, etc.)…
Pricing: $2,500/person double-occupancy; add $300 for a single room. The price is land cost only (i.e., does not include airfare or bike), includes hotel room with private bathroom, 3 meals daily at our hotel (or sack lunch), airport transfers and guided rides. Mid-range rental road bikes are available from local bike shops with advance notice, subject to their inventory. Minimum 6 participants required, maximum 12.
Prices are in US dollars and subject to change without prior notice depending on the US dollar-to-Euro exchange rate.
Accommodations: We’ll be staying at the Balcons du Lac d’Annecy, overlooking the lake from 8 km (5 miles) distance from the lake shore. In addition to the standard amenities, the Balcons has a private swimming pool, as well as clothes washers, for the use of its guests.
